This friendly community-spirited village pub dates from the 18th century. The right side of the pub offers a lounge-cum-restaurant, while the main entrance takes you into a low-beamed bar warmed by a coal fire. The guest ales, up to three, are ever-changing. There's a pool table to the rear, plus a devil among the tailors board in the bar. Beer terrace at the front, beer garden at the rear. Large function room available. Daytime-only bus service.
The Greenman in Clifton Campville is seriously upgraded and looking fab! The vibe is great, staff are top-notch, and the food is like a fancy restaurant sneaked into a pub menu - and yes the quality matches the menu! A must-visit for a laid-back yet upscale experience! It’s brought a much needed social pulse back into the village and I for one am here for it! Fully recommend to friends, family and beyond.

What a fantastic job they have done at refurbing this pub, lovely cozy bar with log burner, beautiful dining room and outside seating with new benches. We nipped in for a Sunday dinner, honestly one of the best Sunday dinners we have ever eaten, slow cooked beef brisket fell apart, gravy was really tasty, huge homemade yorky, just couldn’t fault it. The staff and new manager were really friendly, can’t wait to book again with friends.
We’ve been without a pub for two years. The re-opening of The Green Man has been highly anticipated by us all. I can safely say we are completely and utterly spoilt in every way possible with our new local! What an absolute treat to have on our doorstep! The food is outstanding (and I consider myself a bit of a foodie, the brisket is as good as Marco Pierre Whites at the cube). The selection of drinks is excellent, there’s a real range to suit everyone, and a fantastic selection of gins and even the mixers have been well thought out, there’s a funky london essence draft tonic as well as the usuals too! The new landlord and landlady are the most lovely people who go out of their way to learn about everyone that comes over the threshold. Their training of the restaurant staff must have also been extensive as the waiters and waitresses are exceptionally polite and knowledgable. I can’t say enough good things about our new pub, the only bad thing I could possibly say is that we will have less money as a family as we go and visit and support our fantastic new local when we can as it’s such a joy to be able to do so after such a long time without! Quintessentially the British pub every village should have! Modernised and updated without losing any of it's character or charm. In the bar, the central focus is the fireplace, keeping everyone warm and not only are you greeted by a smile but the team at the Greenman make sure the customer comes first. Wide selection of pints (photo attached) with additional guest ales on as well as a varied choice of spirits and wines. The restaurant is a lovely secluded spot perfect for a quiet bite to eat or a family get together, this pub is perfect for your sunday afternoon dinner or midweek date night. The rear of the pub also has a nice lounge area with a large TV perfect if you need to catch the football or sports! To say this is just a regular village pub is doing them a disservice and I throughly enjoyed making my way through the pints and it's fast becoming my regular pit stop. I'd recommend calling ahead for food just in case you miss out!
