Attractive, friendly country pub, built in the latter half of the 19th Century. There is a small children's play area to the side of the pub, and the beer garden affords spectacular views over the surrounding moorland; a split-level car-park is located at the front. Children are welcome up to 9pm; they can also revel in the playground in the beer garden.
Great food, great lady behind the bar. Always a pleasure to eat there 😋
Didn't eat as most tables reserved for parties and staff very, very busy. Beer good, service excellent and atmosphere pleasant enough. Will return during quieter time and sample the food which looked lovely.
Third visit to the Wheel, the scampi is absolutely lovely as is the real fire. If you want a Christmas meal you need to order in advance
Nice traditional Pub with a friendly atmosphere. Good home cooking at value for money prices. The Steak Pie and Chips is a very popular choice. Highly recommended.
Traditional small pub selling good value food and drink. The mixed grill in particular is huge with proper old school chips like you'd have had growing up before everything became oven chips. Very nice and easy to recommend.

Denford, Leek, ST13
We are a stunningly beautiful Canal side pub converted from an old flour mill, situated on the embankment of the Caldon Canal in Denford, Leek.
Leek, Staffordshire, ST13
Traditional open plan 1970's estate pub on the very edge of Leek, getting it's trade from the local community; basically one large, L-shaped room inside, the bar in reached by walking through a comfortable lounge area.
