The Waterfront pub opened in 2007. With the inspired use of reclaimed timber and brick, stone flags and period lighting, this privately-owned free house replicates the style of a Victorian canal-side warehouse.
Having just undergone a total refurbishment of the ground floor area in January 2017, the vaulted bar serves an extensive range of real ales, premium lagers, fine wines, cocktails and malt whiskies. Sensibly priced pub food, freshly cooked to order, is served in the restaurant, bar and lounge, and on the terrace overlooking the idyllic 300-berth Marina. The 50-seat contemporary conservatory, known as the Quarterdeck, is popular with diners and for private parties.
On the first floor, the Crow’s Nest function room is available to hire for weddings, celebrations or for business use.
This spacious and elevated room boasts a dance floor and a well-stocked bar, and the open balcony offers splendid views across the marina.

Its 2024 yet children under 5 aren’t allowed at this establishment? I’d love to know what makes this establishment so special that children under the age of 5 are not allowed inside. We had come for a family day out and were told this news by a staff member that seemed embarrassed by her own establishments rules. We were offered to sit outside however, in the middle of January….we declined that offer 1) because my 1 year old is not a dog and 2) we weren’t going to put money in their pockets having ridiculous rules. Glad to see I’m not the only person baffled by this.
We were only here for drinks and cake🧁 🍰 the cake, drinks and service were great though. Staff were friendly and accommodating. I had a lovely baileys hot chocolate and a bakewell tart, neither disappointed 😊 There is plenty of seating for food and drinks. The toilets were clean and well maintained as were all the areas in the bar and restaurant. Its worth popping in for a drink if you're at Barton Marina anytime 👍
Fabulous place to relax with a beer overlooking the marina! We've just enjoyed the best fish & chips ever! We went large! The batter was crispy and the fish was fresh! Absolutely gorgeous!! Strongly recommend it! 👌 😋 All of the staff were polite and friendly! Well done - 5 stars from Nigel and Claire 😊
Took my bike over from Hinckley with some friends. Large parking area, good food and nice atmosphere. It’s a beautiful spot to hang out.
Best pizza ever, thin crust, got a veggie burger as well but wasn't good enough, such like the Indian way cooked green stuff. Updated a year later - many things not available from menu, disappointed. Never for food at this place anymore .
