Lovely old pub in the heart of Portslade village. Good prices, lovely service. I went alone but chatted by the bar with a couple of people. Relaxing atmosphere during the day.
I'm a local, and I might be biased. This is not a posh or pretentious place. It's rought on the outside, with beauty on the inside. It's your old school working persons pub. It sells alcohol and a warm and friendly atmosphere. Dog friendly and just down to earth 🌎.
Nice pub with a large beer garden, very friendly staff and customers, will definitely go again next time I'm down.
Lovely pub, massive garden, incredible staff (loads of playful banta), kid friendly, dog friendly, raffle Sunday's, sports available to if that’s your thing. Hot food not available but if you ask the wonderful landlady, she doesn’t mine if ppl get takeout ordered to the premises (just take your own rubbish with you) very fair in my opinion. I’m here most week days after work chilling and it’s my home away from home. I highly recommend to anyone that wants to visit a old school traditional British pub in the Brighton and Hove area. These days traditionally British pub are a dying trend but with the St George Inn you’re all set.
Where you're welcomed by everyone and everyone remembers your name (or gives you an appropriate nickname)... . Bloody lovely staff and regulars too.. I have found the best, most honest and friendliest pub I've ever been into in the Brighton and Hove City limits... No frills no fakery... A breath of old school fresh air.. Cannot praise it highly enough and may never leave Portslade ever again!!
