Barking George at the Harrogate Inn Barking mad more like. Table for 10 booked for 5pm All food pre ordered All guests sat down at 5pm Main course took 1hour and 35 min to arrive. Mine was inedible sent back to the kitchen. No evidence of management or direction of the many staff moving around like headless chickens completely clueless as to the needs of customers. We were give a complimentary drink to make up for the dreadful service A nice gesture. However we had come for a family reunion and you succeed in completely ruining it. The pre ordered desserts never arrived. I counted 6 tables of 2 around us who arrived after us and were served their main course and dessert while we sat waiting. You are an absolute disgrace to the hospitality industry And a disgrace to the town of Harrogate. Small wonder hospitality has difficulty recruiting and retaining staff when no direction or training is in evidence. You do not deserve to be in business if you think this is an acceptable standard to give your customers.

Terrible under new management. Have stopped here before and it was perfect as St George's. Checked in at 9.30pm to find the bedding hadn't been changed at all. Were switched to a different room about an hour after battling through a live band as their reception is ridiculously placed smack in the middle of the bar area. Reception staff clearly flustered and the young gentleman was quite rude. First room had Blood marks and make up stains on the pillow cases and sheets. Big damp patches and stains all around the ceiling and skirting board. Marks in the toilet and it wouldn't flush on arrival. Poor heating in the rooms and hairs on the bathroom floor. Second room stunk of cigarettes due to it being directly above the outdoor bar area and room was cold. Loud live band on thudding all evening below us until midnight. Funny how they don't mention that on their website! Breakfast was Ok - but most of it was slightly warm at best. Definitely won't be stopping here again - absolutely vile! Only positive is that the location isn't bad, but car park is tiny.

Absolutely stunning hotel! Staff were great and the breakfast buffet was amazing. Had a lovely stay, and would 100% stay again. Thank you!

NOT GREAT AT ALL 1. Website say 20% off for blue light holder. this was not honoured. 2. Parents had to move rooms twice because of horrible smell and then faulty plumbing 3. Bar down stairs had love DJ on ALL NIGHT. It is horrible. SO LOUD. 4. Most staff helpful and nice but a few have been rude, unhelpful, don't know any basic information about the hotel or the area. NOT RELAXING NO SLEEP UNFAIR to promote discounts that aren't upheld. To promote a relaxing break and then have a live music on until midnight so we couldn't sleep. Will never be back.

Beautiful bar area with delicious lunches. Friendly, helpful staff. Mediocre breakfast, poor coffee, went elsewhere second morning. While in my room with the do not disturb on the door, another guest walked in who had been checked in to my room. No phones in the rooms so i called the central hotel phone number who couldn't reach reception so I had to physically go downstairs. Almost constant drone from outside from fans or whatever throughout the night. Couldn't leave the window open due to kitchen smells. Didn't affect me on 1st floor but lift appeared to be out of order the 3 days I was there. Uncomfortable bed, almost rolling out few times through the night. Hotel reception being in the bar not appreciated. Disappointing stay as the initial impression was so good. 1st & last stay for me.
