Couldn't eat the beef roast because the slices of beef had been warmed up on the grill, reminding me of leather boots. The sprouts where cooked to death on the outside but rock hard in the middle. How they accomplished that must be a state secret. After getting drinks, it took half an hour before our order was taken, the restaurant wasn't busy so I have no idea why.
A great place. The manager is very welcoming and funny. The waitress was fantastic and the food very good. Pity it is so far from Yorkshire or we would eat here regularly.
Great meal for two , not too busy but we had booked. Quick service , friendly approachable staff. Enjoyable tasty food.
Had the (7 or 8!) Mushroom stack which came with chips, half a baked potato, 2 rings of Corn on the cob, gherkins, tomatoes, salad leaves and BBQ sauce. It was tasty, but a bit much.
So stayed next door in the Premier Inn for a week Got the meal deal. The breakfast was perfect. All you can eat and drink. Full English or continental. The evening meals were OK but not perfect. One night the idea of a serving of rocket was 4 limp leaves. Another none at all. The puddings seemed to rely on the famous chef mic. But over all an enjoyable experience.
