This friendly one-bar corner pub is a peaceful haven for locals, civil servants and MPs to enjoy conversation, unusual guest beers and home-made food without the intrusion of music, TV or children under 14. Clay pipes and caricatures of MPs adorn the wood-panelled interior. Food is not available on busy Friday evenings. Themed beer weeks on the two/three guest handpumps are popular. Opens specially on Remembrance Sunday.

We booked out 'the Chambers', the Speaker's private space, for a small Christmas party and had a blast! Tom and the staff were fantastic and accommodating. The Speaker has a wonderful buzz and vibe and I'd be happy to do another event there... and will certainly always stop in for a drink when I'm in the neighbourhood. (Ask for 'Frank'! )
A truly great pub to stop by for a pint when you’re in the Westminster neighborhood. Staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. Unique layout downstairs with a nice meeting room upstairs. A really fun spot with an open, airy vibe on warm days and when Landlord is on cask, what could be better??
Visited this place on a Saturday evening and surprisingly was very laidback and not crowded with few of the tables filled in. The host was perfect suggesting beer for first timers. The place has a old rustic feeling with the food and the Color. The glass on a rainy night gives just the right feeling
Visited this pub for the first time (on a Monday afternoon, February 2023) and what a gem! A single, dark wood-panelled room downstairs with tall windows on two sides letting in lots of natural light. The two staff members were both really friendly and were consistently wiping tables soon after customers left. A few daffodils on every table and window ledges were a nice touch, adding to the feeling of a clean & fresh environment. A really good selection of cask ales for the area. My couple of pints of Timothy Taylor Landlord were excellent. Only a few minutes walk from Parliament Square but off the beaten track enough not to be too touristy. I will most definitely return and shall recommend this place to others.
