Wow…where to start! The food was incredible - every single item we ordered was delicious. You know it’s good when your whole table goes quiet when the food comes. We had seafood, steak, various starters - and of course dessert (highly recommend the bread and butter pudding). The wine selection was also very good. The service! Every single staff member was warm, attentive and super accommodating. The venue - lovely ambience, perfect for families, couples, groups of friends - everyone was clearly enjoying themselves. We are already planning our next visit. If you’re staying at the Hanbury manor hotel/spa it’s a lovely little walk (10 mins). Don’t miss it! Thank you Maltons team ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Had a family dinner last night and there were 10 of us in the party. From the minute we walked in we were greeted in a warm fashion, taken to the bar for a drink whilst we waited for other family members. Upon being sat the ambience in the restaurant was lovely. Started cane promptly and the mussels were truly stunning. Main courses varied from fish and chips, to burgers and pie of the day. All dishes were utterly superb. The waitresses were all attentive without being overbearing and the manager also passed by a couple of times to ensure everything was okay. The chocolate brownie and white chocolate cheesecake were to die for dessert wise. Value for money was the icing on the cake. We will all certainly be going back.
Ate here with friends. My main of Sea Bass was delicious. Well cooked & well presented. My friends both had a beef pie and again they both loved it. My dessert of Bread & Butter pudding however was not as good. Hardly any fruit and had been heated in a microwave, so unfortunately was an awful texture. Shame as I do love Bread & Butter pudding. Service was ok, but again lacked a bit of sparkle. Saying that, I definitely eat here again though. Hoping for better next time 🙏🏻
Absolutely the best roast dinner. Went yesterday for a friend's birthday and we were not disappointed. Crunchy toasties, puffy Yorkshires, creamy cauliflower cheese, tasty roast carrots, I had a delicious onion tart and they had beef and chicken. They were packed but the service was still good, and they were in no rush to get us to leave. Desserts were delicious also, we had bread pudding with custard, there was also a cheese board and other choices. Highly recommended.
I thought this place was lovely. Onsite parking. Decent Sunday roast... Will keep it in mind for the future. Lamb could have done with a bit more seasoning but gravy was good so that made up for it. Chicken came with stuffing... would be nice if the lamb came with something too... like mint sauce or something to compliment the dish. Nice dessert selection too. The blue suited host seemed charming albeit a bit loud. Good portions and I want to come back to try more food.
