On arrival there was a large party sitting nearby. The children in the party were crawling about on the floor round tables, shouting and screaming. Adults in the party and staff made no effort to control said children. We ordered a meal. Service was prompt, polite and very good. My wife's meal was really good. I ordered sirloin steak, rare. It arrived cooked perfectly and nicely presented. It was when I tried to eat it that the problems started. It was as tough as old boots and required more chewing than I could manage. When the assistant manager saw how much I had left she offered me a free pudding but no reduction to the bill for an inedible steak. I am a very regular customer, I like all the staff @ the Robin Hood and I seldom complain but to pay £16 for an inedible steak is not acceptable.

Lovely pub! A proper local pub that’s always busy with a real mix of customers. Always feel very welcome, always warm and cosy in winter. Friendly staff, good Guinness and nice grub.

The food is typical pub food and the prices reflect that. Great atmosphere and well made cocktails. The staff here are brilliant, friendly and welcoming. Always busy and very popular with local residents.

I’d pre-booked an area with Louise Haywood for my mum’s after funeral family gathering. The music was unobtrusive as arranged. The buffet lunch with tea and coffee for 15 people was great with more than adequate quantities. Fiona in particular was an excellent host and if she wasn’t on the floor to help, her colleague Harry knew where she was and contacted her when I needed to ask a question. My grateful thanks to him too. Fiona communicated well with me and asked and advised when drinks and food were available. She thoughtfully provided containers for us to take away food that was left. I asked whether we could donate leftover food to a food bank whereupon she informed me gently about this not being possible due to timing and health & safety issues. She suggested she or I could invite people having a drink to help themselves to the food. I did and found it comforting this family were appreciative, particularly the little boy who was thrilled with the cookies! Thank you guys at The Robin Hood! I live in Leeds now and didn’t know about the pub. A friend of the family recommended you 🙏🏼. 10/10

Made a booking which we don't usually. Was greeted and opened a "tab" with drinks straight away. Shown to our table which was reserved. 4 of us dined each of us had the 3 course set menu . Food came promptly with impeccable service throughout the evening. Each of us had an amazing meal throughout. I wasn't expecting such delicious food from a pub chain. Lovely setting wonderful friendly service and fantastic food.
