Beautiful cosy place.. Belgian beer festival!!!
If you’re not local, avoid! The pub has signs when you walk in saying no sitting at the bar. Strange considering how empty and joyless the pub was. I immediately got asked to leave the bar while ordering a drink. But only me, nobody else. I was told I couldn’t stand near my seat, but again only me. Not the people they knew obviously they were fine. I see comments on here saying the landlord was unwelcoming, But the landlady and her daughter are literally the rudest people I have ever met in my life! ABHORRENT! Honestly the most pompous and pretentious pub I have ever set foot in, If you face doesn’t fit they will let you know! Honestly this pub is like a scene from the league of gentlemen.
Lovely beer and banter! Came here after a country walk with our 3 dogs. The beer was very well kept and the landlord had a good line in friendly banter. The garden at the back was beautiful. Will definitely return!!
We dropped in this evening, they were very friendly, the draught bit was excellent and we enjoyed a relaxed drink. I've only marked down slightly as they do not serve food of any sort and the choice of find is a little limited. But for a small country pub this is worth the trip.
A great pub with one of the best licensees and wife you could ever meet. A good old fashioned pub and that's not being disrespectful. Andy and Kay are what people running pubs used to be like. Their Covid19 systems make it a very safe pub.
