About us

Run by Exit 33 Brewing (formerly the Brew Company). The Harlequin takes its name from another former Ward's pub just round the corner, now demolished. The large open-plan interior features a central bar with seating on two levels. There are two regular and usually four other beers from Exit 33, as well as guests from far and wide with the emphasis on microbreweries. A range of boutique bottled beers is also available. Good selection of real ciders. Upstairs function rooms. Live music, quiz nights, tasting nights, games nights and regular beer festivals.

we pride ourselves on the quality and range of our real ales and ciders, sourcing a selection of drinks from small producers across the uk. our house beers are brewed by local brewery exit 33 brewing, and we have a constantly changing range of guest beers. with 10 hand pulled beers, 14 real ciders, 12 keg products and a selection of bottled beers and ciders, there’s always plenty to choose from!

we’re chuffed to have been awarded camra’s sheffield cider pub of the year 2011 and 2013 :).

A proper pub with a proper landlady. Excellent beer quality and a great range of ciders. Ideal for a quiet (other than when a certain regular is holding forth!) drink in a civilised atmosphere. Enjoyable quiz nights on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Well preserved classic city centre pub. Massive selection of cask and keg beers, large Gin selection and spirits from scotch to Absinthe. Outdoor seating and smoking area to the rear.

A proper old school pub with a fantastic range of drinks. Really impressive - lots of different types of spirits, ales, ciders and lagers etc. The landlady is lovely, great banter and really funny and to top it all off it's dog-friendly. She makes a wicked cocktail too. I wish this was my regular.

Argyle on tour. ...and my continuing search for real ale pubs in Sheffield. I'm attempting to drown my sorrows after a thumping by Wednesday!! From the outside this pub looks fabulous. Inside, it is devoid of any atmosphere or pundits....on a Saturday night. Its big, but needs a huge makeover ....huge potential. Beer was good. I had my first chip butty....ever....and it was....different. Barman was cool...music pretty good...that's about it really. Its a shame...

I've been coming to this pub for the 12 years now and loved it since day one. I'm a real cider fan and this pub has always had so much choice in real cider. Regular winner of Cider pub awards shows this. See my photos of the cider board showing the selections that were on offer last time I visited. The home made food is amazing, Really good quality and tasty. Friendly knowledgeable staff, that love what they do. And they have live music most weekends too. Highly recommend this pub to anyone visiting Sheffield.
