Village pub hidden in the realms of a fairytale castle, close to the famous Castell Coch
You can find us at our central location in the small village of Tongwynlais, just to the north of Cardiff. We are a lovely little village pub with a good reputation for our food menu, which offers all your favourite pub meals. This is complimented by Brains cask beers and a good wine list. We have Sky Sports, some outside tables and also a car park. A great retreat from the hustle and bustle of Cardiff.

lovely pub really enjoyed my meal the staff were incredibly enthusiastic and great with the kids☺☺. would recommend if your passing by.
Wife and I had the cod and chips here, portions were massive and we both agreed that it is the best fish and chips we have ever had, amazing value for money and very pleasant stuff, pub is lovely with a nod to its historical character Very well recomended
Really welcoming atmosphere in there. It was a lunchtime visit, myself and my Better half were in the area having to drop something off nearby. It was rather quiet for a lunchtime, which was explained to us by I believe the Landlady due to a funeral going on nearby. Will definitely be revisiting the Lewis Arms again to try the Food Menu. I have visited before with my Other half for food, and it was exceptionally good.
Recently had starters/main meals here! The food was great. However the portly young barmaid with bun hairstyle needs glasses as I was waiting by the bar and a group of people came in and she served the first! It was a very hot day and it wasn't that busy!
Decent pub grub. The gammon was good quality and the chips excellent. Daily specials available such as burger Tuesday etc. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The beer garden especially looked nice on a sunny day Lots of cyclists and old regulars here having a beer. Good lunch option
