Cosy pub made even more special by the fantastic veggie Sunday lunch on offer. Hands down the best Glamorgan sausages I've had. Prompt and friendly service and reasonably priced, couldn't fault it.
Great pub, super friendly and great choice of beers and ciders. Went in after a very long walk with the dog and had a lovely Sunday lunch with starters and puddings. All very delicious. Thoroughly recommend.
I drove up from London with my girlfriend as she was visiting family and friends in the area, and we stayed at the Gwaelod-y-Garth Inn for three nights over the New Year period. Absolutely loved the place, warm and friendly atmosphere, open fires, fantastic selection of beers/ales and all food (lots of it) was excellent, best breakfast ever and I’ve eaten a few. Room was spotlessly clean, warm, and cosy with very big comfy bed and decent hot shower. Had a fantastic New Years Eve celebration and the local folk could not have been nicer to a London lad. The surrounding area is beautiful and if you can make the walk-up Garth Mountain the views are stunning, even in the rain. We will definitely be going back in the summer. Though a little on the pricier side but worth every penny. Best Sunday roast we have had good for veggies and meat eaters. Puddings we're banging. The dog loved its "dogs dinner". Quiet atmosphere easy to talk and hear each other inside. Lots of seating outside
Came here for a meal. Came early to have a drink at the bar first. Plenty of seating outside, which was nice. The pub itself has a nice atmosphere, with everyone seeming to have a nice time. The pub has a nice selection of beer. Bar staff really friendly. The evening dining upstairs was a great experience. Staff were super attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much for them. The food was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. We will definitely be returning as we all really enjoyed.
