Went here on Sunday on spec without a booking as a last minute thing for a meal to save cooking. Had a fabulous meal both the starter which was mushrooms and the main a Lamb dinner were delicious and the chef in this place is a brilliant chef highly recommended. The front of house staff give us a lovely warm welcome and excellent service. Will definitely be returning to this gem. Thankyou for a lovely experience.
What an absolute gem of a place. Amazing food, highly recommend the seafood! The staff are fantastic, really friendly and happy. If you live locally, I really envy you having such a wonderful restaurant nearby, we won't be back down for a wee while, unfortunately. Thank you for a brilliant evening.
Forgot to get a picture of the tiramisu, luckily the portion is so large I managed to get the rest of it! Lovely seating outside. Inside the restaurant is bliss. The bar area is tarted up and is acceptable, especially with TV to watch sports. Great selection of different drinks compared to most places. Bar lady was very polite and interested in our holiday. Both waiters were very attentive and professional. Food was well received especially with picky children. Toilets were clean. Free internet. I've seen a negative review of this place so was a bit concerned. However after eating here I'm more confused and believe the negative review must be for another pub.
I found that place on my way back home from family holiday. The staff was very friendly and the environment was awesome. But when they give us the food which we choose the magic happens... absolutely amazing taste on everything! Such a great finish for my holiday ☺️ We will come back one day to try that lovely food! Recommended to us by the Newton Brook Camp site, which is a cracking little site. Extremely welcoming, dog friendly and attentive staff. Alonso made us all feel very well looked after. The food was excellent and incredible value for money. Set Sunday Roast was fab and so well presented. I don't usually post photos but will make an exception here. Yes, the calzone was THAT big. Will definitely be returning here. Lovely little village pub with friendly atmosphere.
