Get a great steak here with excellent service and a characterful chef/landlord who sources top local ingredients and can deliver a 14oz rib eye medium rare perfectly.
One of the, if not the best steak houses in Somerset. Food is delicious and the steak can be ordered to size/weight and cooked to perfection.
Another delicious steak at the George. As part of a large party in the Meating Room we were really well looked after by the staff and the food was 5* as usual. Thanks so much.
Food is absolutely fantastic the steaks are cooked to perfection and how on earth they bring 11 steaks out all at the same time and cooked perfectly is beyond me the cheesecake is also one of the best I’ve ever had.
Another recommendation from a friend that did not disappoint. Easily one of the best steak meals I have enjoyed in recent years. And the home made cheesecake was gorgeous. There was a small delay in bringing out the meals, but the staff kept us fed with complimentary rolls, and informed us with progress. It was well worth the wait! Not cheap, but excellent value for money.
