About us

A Georgian Inn with uncommon quality, The Griffin has been welcoming locals and visitors to Bath for nearly 300 years.

Tucked a stone’s throw away from the bustling city centre, the pub offers a lively, but laidback space to unwind – over a pint, over a meal or overnight.

We’ve got outstanding beer, wine and spirits behind the bar, with no end of cosy corners to enjoy them.

We’re here for the proper pub.

Really nice central location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely pub, and the room was clean and cosy. The bed was so comfortable. However, the bathroom was very small, and the sower tray filled up when showering. The coffee machine in our room did not work, and there is some noise from the pub at night. There is no onsite parking, but parking is less than 5 minutes away. Overall, would recommend!

We had a slight mishap with our room booking (not the current owners fault) but the manager and staff were really apologetic and accommodating, their hospitality more than made up for it. Great food and drink, lovely room, and a perfect location for exploring bath. Highly recommended

Nice meal, pleasant evening, slightly tarnished by a waiter/manager that insisted on reminding us at every opportunity we had to leave so they could get another table in. Appreciate it's a busy time, but we had booked and had no intention of overstaying. Shame, ruined the overall experience somewhat.

Cozy room located right above the pub. It felt like a home away from home . Centrally located right in the city square . Staying here made our trip to Bath unique and convenient. We didn’t get to try the food in the pub and regret it , it was packed full of happy people every day / night . We will return. I also have to note , the main guy , not sure if he’s the owner … very nice and professional.

Such a cosy and beautiful little inn. The pub below is lovely and has good food. The service was perfect. It was an 11 minute walk from Bath Station to the inn and about 5 to 10 minute walks to all the attractions we wanted to see while in Bath. Of note, the inn opens at noon so you cannot check in before then. We arrived at 11:45 am and the staff was kind enough to let us store our bags until the room was ready. We enjoyed the Griffin Inn most of our stays in the UK!
