Not the best, couldn't of stayed more then one night, there was a sticky substance on the wardrobe, windowsill and some parts of the walls and carpets, stayed in a two bed family room with a double bed and a single, the single bed was broke and the bed sheets were damp, there was a light above the beds that was loose and looked like it would fall off, there was a TV but no remote and no signal, when we asked a member of staff in reception if we could have a remote she refused to help us, we also got told off by the manager just for standing outside to wait for my dad to drop some bits off, the manager also kept shouting and swearing making us feel rather uncomfortable. The bathroom was disgusting, didn't dare take a bath as there was beard trimmings left in the bath and the bathroom door didn't even close properly. It got so cold at night time, I usually sleep with a fan out at home so I like it to be cool at night but it was painfuly freezing and it didnt help that the window was broken, we put the heating on and it kept turning off after about 5 minutes. There was banging and shouting in corridor at 2am for a good 20 minutes there was also no security at all and at some times the manager would leave the building to go to the chippy leaving the visitors alone and anyone could walk in, someone we know walked in who we didn't want to get to us and no staff did anything to help us make sure we was safe, i have anxiety so staying in this hotel did not help and we felt unsafe, the staff also know how bad this place is because when we left they said they didn't blame us.
Worst place that can anyone wish to stay. The carpets were smelling so bad and the toilets and bathrooms were very dirty.Got someone that knocked on my door past 3 am and I reported to the management they didn't do anything.
We end up working out due to the hotel had no heating. It smelled of piss windows didn't lock or shut. Plus what they didn't tell us is its full of asylum seekers it didnt bother us but when they started kicking doors screaming and shouting.
I booked this hotel on the understanding that the rooms had free Wi-Fi, upon arrival I was informed that none of the rooms had wifi. I needed WiFi so I had to book a new hotel. The sneyd arms would not refund me the cost of my initial booking. Would not recommend this hotel if you like WiFi.
Needs a makeover and Alot of work done but the new owners seem friendly and determined enough, perfect hotel for a night or 2 if you need a place to stay near Stoke, bit too far from Alton Towers but fine for Port Vale fc!
