Staff are friendly and helpful, atmosphere is great and the food is incredible. The crispy mushrooms are a must try. My only disappointment was that I just didn't have room for dessert. We were lucky and got a table for two as a walk in but it's definitely worth booking as this place is deservedly busy. The allergen menu is easily accessible from a QR code on the menu and they also didn't make a huge fuss about dealing with allergens. It was nice to feel normal whilst eating out.

A dog friendly bar and restaurant (only allowed in the bar area). We had a couple of drinks here and a small bite to eat. The loaf of sourdough with garlic butter was very nice! Decor is very cool, children would have loved it!

The food and service was very disappointing here and I wouldn't recommend Smugglers Cove based on my experience. The service was so slow and it took us over 2.5hrs from when we arrived to leaving and we all only had 2 courses and 2 drinks. Getting seated on long benches when my parents are nearly 80 wasn't comfortable for my parents and they wouldn't move us to a table with high backed chairs, even though they could have done so. It took about 30 minutes before our first drinks were received which added to the early frustrations. A couple of mistakes were made with the food orders for a family of 8. Not good enough. I had the pea soup with bread. The bread was already in the soup and it was so small, it was literally two mouthfuls. The soup itself was OK, but there wasn't much of it. At £6.95 (£7.65 with service charge) it wasn't good value. For my main I had fish, chips and peas. The fish and chips were both deep fried and overcooked. The peas were on a tiny round 'bowl' about 1.5 inches in diameter that were gone in 3 mouthfuls. The large bowl the meal was served in was impractical. At £16.50 (£18.15 with service charge) I wouldn't say it was good value either. I drank two Madri. At £6.25 (£6.87 with service charge) this is probably about right for a restaurant. The premises are beautiful and the highlight of the visit. The service charge is written on the menus says it 'may be charged' in tiny, light writing so you can hardly see and doesn't even quote the figure, which is 10%. This is very sneaky. Be transparent re service charge. Parking is difficult to get nearby and is quite costly.

Buzzing atmosphere, super friendly staff, very accommodating and good food. My family and I went to celebrate a birthday in the family, staff were very pleasant to interact with and the food was served promptly despite a large group of us. Atmosphere was upbeat with a live band playing right in front of us. People were dancing and singing along too whilst enjoying their meals/drinks. Food was good but portion sizes were rather small when getting a signature hanging kebab so I would recommend getting a starter too if choosing any of the kebabs as your main. Ribeye steak was cooked beautifully and the katsu curry was said to be very tasty also. Cookie dough desert was lovely too. Overall price is moderate to high and be prepared to spend 20+ pounds per person for a full meal however would still recommend as had a wonderful time.

Nice busy little atmosphere. Food was tasty and I loved the concept of how it came in the wooden barrels. Service was quick and we were always being checked up on. The only issue was my partner asked for a plain burger but received hot sauce on it so he didn’t really enjoy it. The layout of the sharing cookie dough was really cute!
