Good food, great prices for the area. Friendly staff although food takes a while to get here compared to other pubs (food may come fresh). Large pub that is wheelchair accessible. No food is more than £20.
3 stars because the food (fish and chips with peas and tartar) was good. service was difficult- order at the bar with wasn't the case in other slug and lettuce I've been to. Service to the table was just okay, my feeling was the people who work there were annoyed by it being overcrowded and loud. The location is basically right behind London eye so of course it was crowded. Note here: service in London is normally the best. No home made ice tea / lemonade in a London restaurant is a first, flat coke from the waterhose thing
I would have given it 5 stars but there was no staff available to seat us at a table we had booked online. We showed our booking but the staff didn't seem to know how to find our booking or know what to do. We saw an empty table and asked if we could sit there, oh ok said the member of staff. The 5 dishes we ordered arrived quickly, tasted lovely and were well presented. Had to order at the bar because the app didn't work very well, it added 2 bottles of wine instead of 2 x 175ml glasses of wine.
Had a wonderful time for my friends birthday it was a super cute time with great food! Was made to feel really welcome, especially by Josh who took great care of us! A great time! ✨️
I never tried slug and lettuce before so I went there few weeks ago. I think I will never go there again. I never had this much bad experience in any other restaurant in London🙅. My salad tasted horrible. It was very spicy in a bad way. Don’t get me wrong I like spicy food but that salad was terribly horrible🤢. My friend’s food was bad as well and cold as England’s winter😖. Top of that we asked them to substitute avocado with scrambled egg. They didn’t so we paid extra for it then it arrived after we ate our food. Not to mention again it was cold. So we had cold and horrible tasting food and waited for it more than an hour. Location of the restaurant was very convenient as it was 2 minutes walk away from London eye. We went during lunch time and it was moderately busy around that time. Waiting time was more than 1 hour. Service was horrible. The person who took our order wasn’t clear about the food. Then the person who served us gave our food to the wrong table (table was next to us that’s how I noticed). Then didn’t even apologise to the people who were there. Then when we asked for the eggs, he seems surprised. So we showed him the receipt and waited another 20 minutes just for the eggs. Also I think most of their reviews online are by bots. It’s all a scam. I’m probably not going back to any other slug and lettuce ever again. And will probably never recommend this place to anyone.
