A wonderful friendly pub.lovely decor ..I love a private atmosphere. Yes it's dark....its meant to be.! Go sit at the window if you want a spot light on your soul! ( or eat) Half price meals Mon to Fri. Really friendly staff. I will be back ! ( don't expect a landscaped garden ...its in town centre .why rd..no room!)
This is an example of the "English Pub". Very cosy place. You can watch here sports on multiple tv screens.
Expensive compared to other pubs locally. 80p dearer for the same drink plus no limes. Was asked if we wanted lime cordial in a Desperado? Seriously? Ok if you want to watch football but other than that, not impressed.
Been okay when we’ve been in before but we went to go in last night, was suppose to be our first pup on our crawl and the bouncer turned 4 of us away because one of us grabbed their ID back too firmly…. Yes 4 girls not even had a drink yet and that was the excuse. I’m guessing the pub won’t care as bouncers do what they want but he needs to get down off his high horse. Ruined the start of our night and made that girl feel like rubbish. Would love to hear a response from Sir Pickering Phipps.
