We met friends here for lunch. It is slightly off the beaten track but easy enough to find and has plenty of parking. It was fairly busy (seems to be popular with dog walkers and is dog friendly) but the staff seemed to manage very well. I'm an Otter Brewery fan so seeing Ale, Amber and Bitter all on tap as we walked in was good. Plenty of choice on the food menu, the lamb's liver and bacon on the specials menu made the decision easy for me and it was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is the gents toilets. Although clean they are in need of work, it looks like the ceiling has had a leak and has a coating of black stuff (maybe mould?) and the mirror over the sink is cracked.
Just been here for lunch. The roast lamb was phenomenal- best lamb I've had... only surpassed by the chocolate brownie! Thanks for hosting our group
What an amazing pub! Super dog friendly... Huge beer garden and .. a walk field. The food was excellent pub grub with a great atmosphere. We highly recommend this pub for a pit stop or a local. Happy days here!!
What a beautiful pub. The staff were excellent. They were fully booked for lunch but still let us sit and eat. This is how it should be. A lot of places say no you can't have that empty table over there it's booked in 11/2 hours. Thank you to the staff for giving us a table and we really had a amazing dinner lovely selection of veg and the plum crumble was yummy. We'll worth a visit.
Food was amazing. Pub is really well presented and nice too. We're spending three days and nights in the area and decided to eat here on all three, that says something positive doesn't it.
