Just reopened after it's latest flood ... Everyone worked so hard to get it all sorted.. Welcoming and so friendly and fantastic selection of ales for a small pub. Fantastic place.. Roll on summer for the beer garden ..
A wonderful good 'old fashioned' & REAL pub, nice bar snacks & great Ale.... Add to that, the great atmosphere... Wish I could get there more regular as it is, without a doubt, my favorite pub of all. Nice job & thumbs up.
This is the type of Community Pub that you dream of finding: a wonderful welcoming atmosphere and lovely clientele and the owner was knowledgeable, friendly and a perfect host. It’s location is so quirky that you cannot help but be impressed by what has happened there over the years. We visited with friends who are regulars. We aim to return repeatedly over the years to come!
Went for the 40's weekend with brilliant act's and lots of reenacters and military vehicles.
Superb pub, excellent service….top drawer/quality beer. Excellent atmosphere….and the new burgers are superb. The decor depicts a true ambiance of an establishment nearly 400 years old and exudes a calming effect. The picture shows the temperature of the Butty Bach which was a perfect pint and served with loving care. Thank you xx
