The building dates from the early 19th century and is situated in the heart of Assington, which is also home to Assington Thicks and Arger Fen. In addition to our wonderful beers, wine & spirits, we offer a wide selection of fresh, good quality food dishes. We warmly welcome you to come and enjoy our homely pub.
A great pub with great food. A bit in the middle of nowhere, but well worth a visit if you are in the area. It has a courtyard and a garden for when the weather is good.
Food was ok, menu items were different to what was online. Great pork belly, best I’ve had. Sent both real ales back, neither tasted good sadly
Nice old country pub, did have modern furniture, which was a shame. Staff very attentive and friendly. The food was generous and tasty especially the Seafood Platter which I would recommend. 😊 Gx
This was a lovely pub, we did not visit on a normal day however as they were doing a special Summer weekend thing with music. everyone seemed to know everyone and i could see how nice it would be to have this place as your local
Local pub supported by villagers and those who enjoy a warm welcome. Menu is not extensive, but they serve some lovely food and great local beers. Real community atmosphere and a venue for some rocking musical evenings.
