Group of 6, very well looked after by Clare. She went over and above the call of duty, when I told her we were celebrating one elderly gentleman's birthday, by bringing an extra birthday decorated dessert. The food was, as always, sublime. I have been using this pub for 5 decades. Still my favourite!
Extremely nice food and good service with very friendly staff especially Clare. Clare went the extra mile to make my Dad's birthday meal very enjoyable. I will definitely be visiting this place again.
We turned up with a group of 6 not having booked. It was very busy (good to see!) but the member of staff who served us (Clare) was extremely helpful and accommodating and found us a table. The food was great, with an excellent choice. A friendly, traditional pub with good atmosphere. Thank you!
It's taken us 18 months to come here, we only live 5 minutes away. This is a true country pub with lots of regular customers. The food is really good quality and good value. We had the 5 for £30 tapas deal and were very happy with out choices. Pretty much everything was homemade and big portions - very good value! I look forward to returning to try more food and get to know the staff a little bit more.
One of the best places to eat that I've been in a long time. The food was fantastic with a wide choice of specials, there was a nice range of beers on tap, good music and a very traditional pub feel about it. Would definitely recommended.
