Amazing Sunday dinner, the gravy was delish. Canny portion too. All the staff were lovely. I'll definitely recommend it to friends & family & I'll be coming back with them.
Stopped in for a bite to eat and a pint after walking simonside hills. The food was very good! Hearty home cooked pub classics with very generous portions. Pints were lovely and the service was great. Its dog friendly too so that's always a winner!
Went there for the grub whilst on a long break up north. Dog friendly, staff were super attentive, menu might seem limited but everyone enjoyed what was served. Home cooked chips, large portion sizes, nice traditional pub feel to the place. A worthy visit for hungry travellers 👌
Saw this place as we were passing through and noted the name for later in the day. Rang ahead to see if they could accommodate a large party of us within the next few hours which they did within an hour. Warmly greeted upon arrival with table all ready. Fantastic home cooked meals that were all delicious and plentiful that only 2 puddings were ordered from 10 of us.Staff were lovely and felt very welcome.I would highly recommend a meal here.
Went in for a bite to eat after driving through the national park to see the heather. Friendly bar staff/landlord. Clean and tidy. The toilet was lovely and clean too. I had minced beef and mash with a crusty dumpling on top and hubby had sausage and egg pie with mash and peas. Tasty, home cooked food. Would return and recommend. Garden looked nice too.
