The Shire is a community pub set in the heart of the Shire / Chestnut / Wellandvale area of Corby. We have a large secure beer garden with play equipment for kids and in the nicer weather there are 2 bouncy castles that can be put up we offer bar snacks all day and a full food menu Monday to Friday from 5 - 9pm and 12 - 9pm on a saturday. We have a new Carvery on a SUNDAY from 1 -5.30pm priced at just £5.95 for adults and £3.50 for children. All home cooked food and fresh veg served all the time.
We have DISCO & KARAOKE on the 1st & last friday of every month, Jam sessions on sunday afternoons useually the middle sunday but check out are facebook page for full details.
Last but not least we have the cheapest priced beer in any Corby PUB

The shire horse does a fantastic roast dinner every Sunday 😋 and a gluten-free one for me, which is brilliant. A choice of 4 different meats and several vegetable choices. You can also have roast, mash, and new potatoes . Staff are lovely and helpful. I do recommend booking ahead as they get very busy. You can also order in a takeaway tub, but you have to collect it yourself as they don't deliver. Fantastic staff food and atmosphere.
Food was absolutely amazing. We had Takeaway Sunday Roast which was delicious. We had drinks while we waited. Lovely place to go
Nice prices. Quickly served. Great beer garden with gates. So children can run around freely and safely Didn't have food so can't say about that.
Great evening of live music in the Shire Horse lounge. A great space with room for pool tables, a stage and plenty of tables and chairs - even a little impromptu dance area at the front of the stage. Atmosphere was great - with all original music from local Corby bands Yodaclub and The Scenesters. I've never seen so many people determined to have a great night - and a great night they had - with singing and dancing and perhaps a drink or two. Fantastic night all round!
Booked last minute for a carvery for 2 - excellent carvery, plenty of meat and a good choice of piping hot potatoes and vegetables. Had a delicious banana split for dessert. Very friendly staff.
