Traditional London pub situated on the Kennington Road
Friendly, fast, and attentive bar staff. Nice atmosphere. Maybe the best pizza I've had in London having lived here for ~15 years. Nice beers too. All round great pub!
Went after visiting the Imperial War Museum. Immediately greeted by Jack and invited in while he finished setting up chairs outside due to it raining. He gave us great beer recommendations and let us know when the kitchen opened. The pizza was great - I got a vegan, my husband got a pepperoni and we split the halloumi fries - all of it was excellent. Jack provided amazing service - he checked on us a few times and, as my husband told me to say when I wrote this, "an absolute delight." The staff at pubs can really make or break a visit and Jack made it.
Surprise to find that they have lots of special beer, great beer garden to chill. Superb nice bartender to recommend you the beer you like, don’t miss it. Will definitely back to try their food.
🚇 Lambeth North 🍺 £5.60 Estrella ❤️ A vibrant pub with a strong craft beer and pizza game. . The Ship is located on Kennington Road, the nearest tube station is Lambeth North which is a ten minute walk. . The pub was built around 1830 and is set back from the road allowing for an outdoor space at the front. . The decor here is vibrant and eclectic which sets an uplifting tone. This is a good size pub with the orange servery taking centre stage, oh and check out those pendant lights. . The beer choice is full rotating craft beers and familiar favourites, I opted for an Estrella which was a good pint and under six quid. The food offering is pizza, most cost around a tenner and if you visit on a Monday there’s a deal £7 pizza deal. . There was a nice feel to the place and it felt like a neighbourhood pub. This pub hosts quiz evenings and also shows live sport. The service was good, the member of staff who served me friendly and served with a smile. . The @shipse11 is one of those pubs that you immediately felt welcomed in and there is a nice vibe here. The majority of the beer is sourced from local breweries which should be celebrated and the food is highly commended. This pub offers a great experience and is definitely worth a visit. . ℹ️ Information correct on visiting 24/09/22
Went here on a fairly quiet night but the process of placing orders with the staff was quite slow. There were plenty of staff working but most were making cocktails and the only staff member taking orders appeared disinterested (even forgetting the drink part of our order). The good news was once the food had been ordered it came out really quickly. We ordered the ‘Bar Board’ which contained Hummus, Guacamole, Peperonata and Garlic Flat Bread, the Cheesy Garlic Bread and the Number 11 Pizza with Cotto Ham, Portobello Mushroom and Mozzarella. All were delicious and super fresh. So while the food was great, unsure we’d be back due to the service here.
