Fantastic Sunday Lunch. Fabulous beer. Booked sunday lunch for 4. Absolutely huge meal with 10 veg and a choice of meats or veggie. All cooked to perfection. Plus perfect hosts.
Proper pub with locals, cosy but welcoming. Spare Bar and lounge/food areas. Well kept real ale but not much selection. B&B rooms are "characterful" but clean and tidy
In almost five years I’ve never managed to get through the door of this pub. It looks cosy and welcoming, just what I’m after, but there’s always a sign on the door saying it’s closed. Yet the sounds of revelling inside tell me otherwise. I hope to be successful next time I’m in Dartmouth. See you soon 🙂
Stopped here on a Monday evening for some food. The beer was excellent. The food menu had some great options and the fish pie on the specials was exceptional. It was quiet but the quality was still great in all aspects.
We had their takeaway/delivered Sunday Roast. It was absolutely amazing. Cooked to perfection. We can’t praise it highly enough. Usually there is something to say ‘I would have preferred or I wish etc’ . But their Sunday roast was absolute perfection. Plenty of meat, well cooked and tender 11 veg, roast and mashed pots, carrots, peas, fine beans, broad beans, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, mashed swede, roast parsnip all nicely cooked, Yorkshire, stuffing and plenty of gravy. It needs to be ordered by 6.00 on a Friday but definitely worth trying. Thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Dolphin Inn in Dartmouth is one our favourite pubs and is definitely worth a visit during your stay, whether it’s to have a drink amongst the locals or to go for a meal and try out the great pub food
