Very friendly and helpful, very reasonable price. Only thing is it doesn't have a kettle, would have liked one nice to have a cuppa when I get up. Or before bed.

Only booked because we were guaranteed that our event tickets could be sent there. We then called again to check they had arrived, and were told they had been put in the safe for us to collect on arrival a few weeks later. When we arrived they had lost our tickets. We didn't even get an apology. The room itself wasn't great. Holes in the wall, bathroom light turned on and off at random, the parking is a scabby road around the back that we were charged £4 for. The bar was nice, but overpriced. The main positive was how close it was to the venue - which was we then couldn't go to as the hotel lost our tickets. Also, the responses to some of the reviews are crazy unprofessional, really shows the attitude towards customers.

Called up before booking to ask if the hotel could hold onto a letter for me until I book in because of problems with booking office. They agreed and said they would keep it in the safe for me and I booked a room. You can imagine I wasn't very happy when they lost the letter and I couldn't get access to the event I planned on seeing, especially considering it was a part of my booking agreement. Didn't even get an apology for the tickets THEY lost. It's truly a shame too because aside from this utter failure on their behalf, the hotel was fairly good and I would have recommended it. Unfortunately I can't recommend it due to the fact they jacked up the price of the room for the event and lost my tickets after agreeing to hold onto them. Drinks are expensive too at 12 quid for a pint and a rum.

Great price for the rooms. Clean tidy and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Locals were also welcoming and friendly. Great place and location would definitely recommend and stay again.

My train to London was cancelled that night and I was so happy to find available bedroom one hour before arriving at the hotel, that was a good luck! :) the bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed my staying in, not to forget the English breakfast I had the next day, I always ask for the eggs to be well-done and they don't always come exactly the way I like them to be, but at Don Valley hotel I had my breakfast exactly how I always like to have! Thank you so much for your great service and hospitality! I'll definitely come here if I visit Sheffield again!
