Went there for Sunday roast after We've heard lots of praises about it. Unfortunately I can't praise the food 😕. The beef was so chewy , kind of testless, the chicken had a strange whiff of old ,probably prepared the day before. I don't know, but it was something wrong with it. Otherwise the vegetables were good, I have to admit and my dog enjoyed his expensive Sunday roast In terms of staff and environment: Lovely, cosy place! Team friendly, welcoming and helpful. I might repeat, but never for Sunday roast
It was my husband ‘s birthday- we went with the kids and had the best time ever. Meal was great and bowling 🎳 was so much fun. The service was super! Lucas was serving us and he was extremely nice- he definitely made our evening even more enjoyable and special. Will be back very soon…
I’ve always had an amazing time here. Today was extra special because Kamil has been so nice to us. He helped us know the history of the place. The charming smile and delicious sticky chicken was what made the evening more enjoyable.
The waitress in the dining room upstairs was lovely and very attentive. The pub looked absolutely great and the atmosphere was simply brilliant. We had the lamb Sunday roast and it was very chewy which left me a little sad as everything else was lovely. Suggest perhaps to have lamb shoulders rather than what you serve which was touch and could not cut with the knife.
Skittle Alley was great fun. The staff were very friendly, especially Kamil, who was so welcoming when we walked through the door and made a great espresso martini ! The three course festive menu had a lovely selection of dishes and was reasonably priced. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, too.
