The Shamrock Bar is a lively town centre pub, the only Irish pub in Macclesfield. A historic pub circa 1500's originally called "the pig and whistle" this venue has lots of great history even a priest hole and run on site. Now it is a live music venue at the weekend with an over 25’s age limit entry. A great atmosphere guaranteed the pub also offers Sky and BT sports with 6 TV's inside and 2 TVs in the outside area. We have seating area upstairs with a pool table, this area can be hired out for private functions and parties. We have a unique jukebox which you can use through a app on your phone and it also offers a photo booth. We have free WiFi and air conditioning throughout the property. Look out for theme nights such as quiz nights, cheese and wine tasting nights and open mic nights.

This is a friendly little pub with a good atmosphere. It was like going back in time. Would definitely recommend a visit.
Enjoyed a good evening quizzing for Breast Cancer charity quiz. Samantha and Simon out did themselves with the buffet. Beer not too bad either.
Proper pub with a friendly atmosphere and obviously they pull a good Guinness too.
Great pub with a wonderful atmosphere! Nice and cosy with lots of different small rooms dotted around. Nice outside area at the back too. Staff were really friendly and although we weren't regulars, we were made to feel really welcome. Got chatting to some of the locals and had a brilliant time!
We enjoyed our lunch here immensely. The home cooked Irish Stew was delicious. The lady behind the bar was very welcoming. The chef was very helpful and provided excellent service. Good value. A hidden gem. Highly recommended.
