The parish of Winsley lies east of the river Avon to the west of Bradford on Avon and is much associated with that town. It was part of the ancient parish of Bradford and, not being a large village, was often linked with Limpley Stoke on the western bank of the river Avon.
The food was great and lovely ambiance too in local area Our steak and mussel so delish!!
Very nice pub, had lunch here and the food was very good. We had the burger, fish and chips and the mussels. All well cooked. tasty and presented. Service was good, even when the pub was very busy.
As usual excellent food and service, I'd booked a party of 10 for Sunday lunch so we had the whole upper tier to ourselves. As soon as we got there we were asked if we wanted to order drinks, always great to be acknowledged when you first arrive. Food was great, my partner and I had the Turkey which was very nice indeed, love their roast potatoes and the stuffing was really good and plenty of veg and gravy. All in all an excellent experience and we will undoubtedly be back again.
The food here was absolutely delicious. We have been fortunate to travel quite a bit and have had muscles in many different countries. These were absolutely the best we’ve ever eaten! The slow, roasted pork belly was stupendous, and the pork chop delicious. The service was a little inconsistent, but don’t let that hold you back. The food, the camaraderie with locals, and the beautiful atmosphere, are all on point. The total for the two of us , food and drinks came to £58.70
Lovely village pub. Very pretty. Went for an evening drink and sat outside where there is a fair bit of seating. Water for dogs. Booked for Sunday lunch next day. This was delicious! Staff friendly and attentive. Beer very good! Very popular so book for dinner just to make sure! Just been back for a Friday night meal. Very good again. Had all three courses. The chocolate brownie finale was amazing.
