The food was lovely pub standard food. The kitchen closed at 18:30 which was disappointing, we would have liked to have pudding too but due to not being able to get there until after work we only just made it in time before the kitchen closed. IDd for alcohol free cider which I've never known places to do 😔 almost half the tables were covered with reserved to which noone seemed to have reserved tables.
2nd time we have been. Had a mixed grill and only the steak was edible. Couldn't even get the fork in the sausage. Out of 3 meals only 1 was eaten. £64 and given a free slice of cheesecake. They were understaffed at the time. I don't think we will try again for a while update, we attended in July 2023 and were served mouldy peas photo attached. Items missing off plate too. Apparently the lease is for sale so maybe closing soon, in experience maybe a good thing. How do you serve mouldy food
For pub grub it’s the best around. You always get someone who complains about anything… you want 5* Michelin food go and eat it and pay it. You want good decent pub grub come here!
Stopped in for a quick breakfast during the week found the place well maintained, clean and comfortable to sit and eat. The staff were friendly and up for a laugh, the food was tasty and well cooked.
The food was amazing as always however the app would not let me order some items as they were showing as out of stock so we had to order them at the bar which wasn't a massive problem just took a little longer. The cocktails (woo woo and blue lagoon) were delicious!
