This is an old Victorian building which until recently was a tied house. Opposite the Theatre & Beach, it is well located on the sea front within easy reach of public transport & all of Ilfracombe's seaside attractions.
New to real ale, the landlord,( Les Blythe) has been helped by other publicans in the area as he is well known in the town. It is the intention to promote real ales & to feature local breweries. Participation in local Pool league will also be a big feature.
It's such a great pub staff are fantastic so friendly
I was treated here for a Birthday meal. I was quite impressed. A wonderful homely atmosphere even though they were exceptionally busy. The service was excellent and so was the carvery. I will definitely be going back.
Rememberance parade drinks. I visited with the local Royal British Legion and Royal Marines. Soup and a roll was provided which I must say was delicious and thank you very much for the very kind gesture. The ale flowed and was delicious too. On behalf of the RBL thank you again and we hope to be welcomed back next year.
Best Sunday carvery for miles been back for more and have taken the family for a big party last Sunday, delicious food yet again, plus very good service from all staff, do book up if you can, we did.
Great place, staff made us feel really welcome. Fabulous beer and great pool tables. Felt really at home here, staff and locals are very friendly. Loved it 😁
