The mini burger and the pie was very good. The service was very poor. started good as we got our coffee sandwiches and cakes very quickly. but the girl never came back
Friends has treated us to afternoon tea as we have re-located to this area. The food was lovely but the lack of service spoiled the experience.
Have come for dinner & afternoon tea multiple times, food is always very nice and service is friendly. Had a lovely afternoon tea today, came out really quick and the food was fab. Got a really nice veggie tempura and mac and cheese pie for my veggie savouries. Sweet treats were delicious. Staff were attentive and restaurant was nice and cosy.
There needs to be a better arrangement for non-residents, with a dog, stopping by for drink/food. Banishing them to solitary confinement in a freezing cold conservatory, when the hotel is 3/4 empty during winter, isn't conducive for a repeat visit! Simply allowing the staff some common-sense discretion is all that is needed
Interesting experience. I love Cullen. Friday had an amazing fish and chip from Linda's chippy. Amazing bacon roll at Rockpool café...I mean best bacon roll ever!! Then Seafield Arms booked for Saturday night ..what better. Two pals loved their meals👍. I had veggie cottage pie..hmmm. Disappointed! Not worth the money!! So, I was honest with the waiter when he asked how our meal was. Girls were honest too, loved theirs. After I said I was disappointed.....got a gruff oh well ..the veggie burger might have been a better choice. That upset me. Really...I didn't want the veggie burger!! Pudding order went missing so had to order again...and when he asked what I wanted I said no thank you as I was disappointed with my main meal. Hmm was the response...no, 'sorry about that'. The Seafield Arms have top notch service...but if a customer gives honest feedback...honour that please and be open to...'sorry about that I'll let the chef know ....' and sort it. Dry, tatties in a wee dish with dry lentils, tasteless and a few wee slithers of parsnip, onion and sweet potato....doesn't match the £15.95 price point. I have enjoyed a meal there last year ..but was disappointed with the veggie cottage pie and more so the response to my disappointment. I praise and do a lot of it wherever I go. Was expecting more from an honest response when asked how my £15.95 veggie cottage pie was. Says it all!!
