Hello there! The Saughall Pub Moreton is open daily from 12 noon.
In the hustle and bustle of the Wirral Peninsula you will find a little place called Saughall Massie and tucked away in the conservation area is a gem of pub called The Saughall Pub Moreton (once known as The Saughall Hotel). The Saughall isn’t just any pub and restaurant. The Saughall Pub Moreton is atmosphere, topped with a little fun and things done a little differently but when it comes to your safety, we take it seriously.
Our welcoming pub with its spectacular garden is the perfect setting for any occasion. From a meal with loved ones to your special day, be it a big or small celebration, we love them all! Providing we get the weather (this is Britain after all!) we can do Al Fresco dining in our garden with ice cold beers served from our horse box bar. Why not even hire an area of our garden out for those summer celebrations and hire a bouncy castle or just allow the kids let their mad out on the play area.
With a mix of traditional pub food and some quirky dishes nestled into the menu here and there we think we offer something for everyone. To top it off we also run a carvery on a Wednesday and Sunday which is a hit with many that live locally but also those who travel for a good Sunday dinner at The Saughall.
Our community spirit is second to none also and we love nothing more than helping to support local businesses and groups. The team enjoy dressing up to help raise money for local charities, hold events throughout the year for the younger generation and even something for the adults every now and then. We are the definition of a family friendly pub!.

Okay so his has been my family local for decades, we stopped coming here solely because of the silly price rises.... however recently we learned that prices had dropped to a more affordable price, indeed this was the case and my husband and I enjoyed a few pints of great quality Guinness, barmaid Jill was fantastic, as was Emma the manger, friendly and so attentive, sadly this couldn't be said for Emma's daughter who was rude and totally unfriendly, this mirrored the last time we visited when she served us back in the summer of last year, for that reason we will not stay if she's on site as staff, other than her we will most definitely be back đź‘Ť
Went to celebrate my hubby’s birthday, haven’t been since lockdown, new management so wasn’t sure what it would be like……absolutely stunning food, service was excellent, most definitely we will be back.
I can’t praise, Emma, Danni and all the staff at the Saughall enough. They provided a wonderful funeral celebration of my husband with 50 mourners attending on Friday. Providing delicious home cooked hot meals, drinks & atmosphere with roaring fires & candlelit tables. It was very cosy and comforting. Everyone who attended was full of praise for the service and personal care we received. Thank you so much.
Had a fantastic South African meal which was on the specials. Can't remember what it was called now but it was absolutely lovely. It was so nice to be able to try something different. The wife went for sausage and mash and really enjoyed it too. If you haven't been recently, I would recommend to give it a try. The owners are lovely and the food was exceptional đź‘Ś
New review for new owners: Attended as the atmosphere and setting are always right! Was told to order soon or it’d be an hour wait due to a large party coming in….no sign of them yet so rush was kind of unnecessary! Kids Mac and cheese was a disgrace - oily, flavourless, served in a piping hot, straight from the oven dish which would have injured my 4yo! Pet hate of mine! Sauce packets served in a dirty pot - nothing major just, definitely needed some attention. Adults cheese burger was delicious, few empty bites as oval patty on square bun - chunky chips were amazing. adults roast was delicious, just missing s portion of stuffing but that’s personal taste. A child stood in glass whilst we were eating, personally if it took the staff that long to react to my child who had injured themselves on their premises, I wouldn’t have been as understanding. Seemed blasé although eventually someone did come out with the first aid box. Previous owners: kids meals are great portions. Food is always fresh. Roasts are delicious. Every time we’ve been we’ve been happy. Always busy and friendly, down to earth staff. Play area and random bouncy castles is great to entertain the kids.
