The hostel is SO bad that I have taken the trouble to look up all the information about the accommodation so I can give a bad opinion. The place has classic British carpet everywhere, but there are carpets and carpets. This, unfortunately, is one of the bad ones, the kind that gives the place a dirty and sordid appearance. It has huge spots of unknown origin. That's not bad at all because the walls, bedding and ceiling also have stains so everything matches. As if that were not enough, the curtains in the room had grease on them. I'm not exaggerating, it was totally greasy, which gives it a rustic touch. It was cool in the room, which surprised me because of how small it was, I should have been able to heat it with a lighter. It also had a cork to stick things in and a piece was missing. It was like an old student room or hostel that they wanted to give a second life without first doing any work or at least cleaning. Regarding the toilets, the bathroom and shower were at the end of a corridor leaving the room, very good news if you like to see people only covered with a towel walking down the corridors on the way to or from the shower. After that, the shower and bathroom are in separate rooms for unknown reasons. The shower was made of steel and had a broken plate or a bad seat or whatever, so you could dance while showering. It's not all bad, it keeps you entertained for the long time it will take, because the hose throws more water onto the ground than it throws onto you. I say hose and I'm not lying, because the shower head connections were made with a garden hose, I guess there isn't much of a problem with that because the water doesn't come out too hot even if you turn it on full blast and the hose won't break. melt. If you don't have a towel, it's not a problem because they rent it to you for £1.5 + an extra £5 deposit to prevent you from stealing it if you want to keep a piece of cloth that's as thin as paper and scratchy like my mustache. grandmother. When we use the toilet, we also have to be patient because the chain does not work very well and we have to use it a good number of times so that it flushes everything despite not having very powerful bowel movements. I find a plus point in the sink in the room, which allows you to brush your teeth without having to go out, and the 70 cm vinyl floor that surrounds it and which constitutes the only part of the room that does not give authentic disgust. The mattress is quite comfortable.
Simple hostel, nothing more. The goal here is to sleep close to the Isle of Skye and at a good price. The place is rather interesting for exploring the island. Above all, it allows you to quickly leave towards the south once the visits are finished.
