I will never come here again, and DO NOT recommend anybody to come here either. The manager is very rude/disrespectful and hasn’t trained his staff properly. And doesn’t know the meaning of retention when it comes to keeping regular customers. I arrived here yesterday at around 3:50 pm, while I was waiting for my friend/business colleague, have a little meeting over some very nice food and happy hour cocktails(happy hour starts at 5)-I was seated and not told at any point that that table had a reservation for 17:30(I noticed there was a reservation sign on a diff table when I got up to pay my 1st half of the bill, while I was waiting for my friend). I proceed to eat some nibbles while I was waiting(a small dish of satay chicken that was extremely tender and very well marinated. The Satay sauce came in a mini bowl about half the size of an egg cup, and the sauce was runny with hints of Nut which unfortunately let it down and another small crispy chicken dish with Chipotle sauce that I can’t member the name of, but it was very nice and extremely spicy.) -the very young waitress who served me was lovely and very kind and polite but the same cannot be said for her manager. When my friend got there, we proceeded to place an order for food and drink and dessert, that altogether comprised of approximately, just under £100 and while we waited for the first set of cocktails to come ( they were also not bad cocktails either ) - about a minute after our cocktails came the lovely young waitress approached us to let us know that she was incredibly sorry but there was a booking at 5:30and we would have to move but then proceeded to tell us that there was actually nowhere for us to sit-so we have course challenged this and so the manager approached us- he proceeded to tell us that the table has been booked and that he was sorry that we were never told, however, we would still need to move, that he could offer us a small square table for 2, despite the fact that we were fully set up on our comfortable table with our laptop cocktails and just settling down(bear in mind the small table would barely fit 2 plates on it) -when I informed him of the situation and advised him that it was not our fault as customers that his staff did not check their bookings accordingly, so he should apologise to the new guests who have not sat down yet that, they have double booked as we are in the middle of us having been there he gave a insincere apology and said “don’t worry I’ll just cancel your food and anything else you’ve bought” “ are these two cocktails the only thing is you’ve had?”-to which my colleague replied yes but there’s no way I am giving you £12 for us having taken 3-4 sips out of this cocktail and you’re now chucking us off the table. In short the manager, still trying to argue had no gesture of goodwill and returned our food as it was coming to the table to cancel our order(despite the fact on the menu it is now clearly written that due to severe increase in food costs They will no longer change food for free and to Please read the menu carefully. clearly it can’t be that high, if you’re returning food, just because you want to) -my colleague and I proceeded to exit the restaurant and say goodbye to the extremely lovely security guard at the door but we were promptly chased by the young lady who appeared very embarrassed and very shyly Stated her manager had sent her to get the £12 as she was very sorry- to which my colleague, and I stated we wouldn’t be paying for 2 cocktails that we had barely taken half a drink out of both of them combined before we were kicked off our table and advised that they can happily call the police and we will be waiting in the Rum kitchen next door . The manager stormed to the door, tried to close the door on me while I was halfway in and out the property, speaking to the security guard, saying profanities and calling me, and my colleague names and telling the security guard we will not be welcome there again. Well done sir, honestly well done.
Visited this venue on the recommendation of my great niece with my sister. We dined in but did not have a booking. They did accommodate us both. The service was a bit slow as only one person was taking all the orders. However, the food was very nice and we both enjoyed what we ordered. I had mixed Singapore rice noodles, and my sister had Nasi Goreng. Would eat here again to try the dishes recommended from my niece.
🌟 Had an amazing girls’ night at Satay Bar! 😋 The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. Shoutout to Lee 🙌, who provided exceptional attention to detail and service. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back for more fun! 🥳🍽️💃
Had a late lunch here. It was quiet with a few customers on my arrival. Whilst looking at the menu a lot more diners arrived. The food arrived very soon after, we had placed our orders. It was all very tasty, I could have done with a bit more spice on mine, though. We ordered several cocktails which just as lovely as the food. The waitresses and bartender were all welcoming, pleasant and attentive. The only downside here, was the female restroom which was not very pleasant to use. It is in need of maintenance and should be appropriately sanitised all the time.
I can see why this place is always packed! The food and drinks here is top tier!! I had duck and rice with veggies and it was so delicious, the flavours, how tender the duck was, the rice! Everything made sense! To top it off, I had a smoothie and it was so good!!! This place is added to one of my favourite places to eat!!! Thank you to the lovely staffs and chefs!!!
