Huntingdon is a picturesque market town in Cambridgeshire, England. The town was chartered in 1205 by King John. It is the traditional county town of Huntingdonshire, the seat of the Huntingdonshire District Council. It is known as the birthplace of Oliver Cromwell, who was born in 1599 and was the member of parliament for the town in the 17th century.
Stroll at leisure among the pedestrianised shopping centres and enjoy a mix of independent and national brands among shops, cafés and restaurants.
Highly recommended is the Historic Town Trail, taking you on a self-guided circular walk from the town hall, past the Thinking Soldier war memorial and the 16th-century Falcon Inn, reputedly a headquarters for Cromwell during the Civil War, and All Saints’ Church. As one of only two surviving medieval churches, All Saints’ Church has Norman stonework – and the font is reputed to have been used for the baptism of Cromwell. The route leads you past old gaols, the quaint Market Inn and onwards to the picturesque riverside park with its 19th-century mill, now smart apartments, and back through the town, with so much more history to soak up.

Busy and quite loud but in a nice way, people laughing and chatting and generally having a good time. Food was good, hot and tasty and quickly served. Price is very affordable, 2 main meals and 2 drinks £20. Good value
We went to Weather Spoon's for an evening meal, the food was very cheap and you got a drink included in the order. All of this is done on the app at the table. The food was Ok for the cost and I think you would be at push to find anywhere with food and a drink for the price they charge
Excellent food, low prices, I reccomend this place to everyone.
Called in here whilst staying at campsite in area. Clean and reasonably decorated. Had two bowls of scampi and chips. Cooked to perfection. Drinks, as always, very reasonably priced. Was surprised to find prices higher than our Wetherspoons in Lincoln. Thought they were all priced the same. Only one person serving with a few of us waiting. Big pub and big bar for only one member of staff to manage. Would definitely return when next in area.
I really appreciate the history behind this Wetherspoon establishment. This branch always has good food and polite and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend :-)
