Family run pub serving pub food home made to order
Our business is no more than a couple of minutes walk from, New Place Hotel. To locate our business easily from this location leave New Place and head right, you'll be greeted with a rather sharp corner with the road sign 'Upper Church Road', walk down this road and our business is not easily missed.
After exiting our conservatory, you'll be greeted with a garden big enough to be enjoyed by hundreds, within the garden we have tables, chairs . Dogs welcome in the garden area only and on leads .
The pool table has a fee of £1, simply insert the coin into the right most side of the coin dispenser and push the hand inwards to release the coloured balls, ask over the bar for the white ball if needed, pool cue's are located next to the table. The pool table is for ages 12+.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a varied menu and my husband was delighted to see a number of vegetarian options. The portions were substantial. Overall the meals with a couple of drinks each proved very good value. A great find just a short walk from the hotel where we were staying that provided a good option to enjoy a pleasant meal without breaking the bank!
I think the kitchen was closing when we arrived but they pushed the boat out and served us a lovely meal with all the trimmings. I had the Steak and Kidney pie and I could not walk afterwards as I was stuffed. My wife had a huge Burger and chips and that too was extremely filling. Lovely friendly staff too. I had a couple of drinks whilst there and really enjoyed the experience.
Myself and my wife love coming here, it's a great pub that serves a good size tasty meal at very affordable prices. We are always made to feel very welcome and the owners and staff are all lovely.

This is a nice pub good old fashioned atmosphere, warm and welcoming, Had been warned a band was playing but fine with us. they take last booking for food at 19.30. had lovely old jukebox, toilets are lovely and clean and disabled toilet easy access. staff friendly and helpful just one young girl not seeming to want to chat but no problem. menu old styled pub food which is good and reasonably priced and the portions are big and hot so get value for money. Real ales on tap. This pub is a 5 minute walk from the New Place Hotel and just on the outskirts of Southampton, the drive there is lovely. Would definitely recommend and go back

Our menu's are individually split into sections, one being the children's menu, based all around the children that visit our establishment, we've taken the time to get together the most requested items and portioned them into smaller more suitable sizes for children, request the menu from the bar staff if children are present with you.
