This pub was originally known as the Waggon Makers Arms and appeared in the very first Good Beer Guide in 1974 (albeit named Waggoners).
Described as a typical working-class house with live music at weekends it served beers from the long closed Matthew Brown brewery in Blackburn.
Internally not much has changed. A long bar down one side of the pub serves a mainly open plan layout with plenty of comfortable seating. there is a beer garden which si due a makeover later in 2018.
After many years in the wilderness, real ale has finally returned to the pub in August 2018. One of the three pumps is tied to Molson Coors with the other two being free of tie, probably serving pale/golden ales sourced from local breweries.

Fantastic place, great people and very welcoming with some brilliant entertainment. My band, The Rockin Horses, play there and its always an excellent night.
