Sam Webbs is a busy and vibrant town centre bar. Very well situated for pre and post-theatre drinks as it sits just a few doors up from the Gaiety Theatre. It is quite a rowdy venue with a very eclectic mix of customers.
Popular as a sports bar but also a great place to start or end a tour of the Douglas bars. There is regular live entertainment and always a sporting event on the box. We like Sam’s for its fun approach to life and its spacious surroundings.
ALDERMAN SAMUEL WEBB had been a member of the Douglas Town Commissioners or the Douglas Town Council for over 17 years, and during that period had served the town faithfully and progressively. He was appointed an Alderman in 1896 and served as Deputy-Mayor for three consecutive terms. He served as Mayor from 1898-1900. Mr Webb was the proprietor of the large business concern known as the Lounge, Strand Street, Douglas.

Decent boozer. Could perhaps be a wider beer selection, but got Sky, Dartboard, music etc so can't go wrong.
It looks AWFUL from the outside, like some cheap bar from the 1960s but when you get inside..... IT'S WORSE. More atmosphere on Mars and unless you're a drunk chav or looking for a fight I'd avoid this place at all costs. Just awful. It's where the lowest common denominator goes to die
Great location for a drink before going to the Gaiety/Villa Marina. Unfortunately they had run out of Bitter and Red Wine. The floor could do with a good clean as your feet stuck to it as you walked
This pub is in Douglas town centre. Staff customer service skills were very good. I will be visiting this pub when I go back to IOM in the future
A good pub, very busy and lot's of entertainment, this is a great place to meet your friends with this hot weather we have been having they serve in plastic glasses so you can take them outside

If its live sport or a steak meal that you are looking for then look no further. Jaks has several big screens all showing different live sport downstairs with a restaurant upstairs serving great quality food
