About us

The single bar has separate areas available for drinkers and diners. Mark & Carol have transformed the pub and built an excellent reputation with the local community for consistently, providing top quality real ales which are traditionally served in beer jugs in the very best condition. The beer range is constantly evolving with the focus on providing a choice of different ale strengths and types of ale. Home made Pie of the Day, Basket meals and Sunday roasts are all very popular.

Had a vegetarian Sunday roast it was absolutely awful. I waited a long time for the food. When the food did finally arrive I seen the the Burnt potatoes the veg burger they put on the plate was so cold I had a small bite it was so cold like it came out the fridge. After telling them they took the plate and returned within 3 min with the same plate microwaved. Never again. Still ended up paying £15 for the veg roast no apologies from the manager. Rubbish roast.

The food was reasonably priced but quality wasn’t good cheese onion toasted sarnie limp a no filling mentioned to them a they replaced but was terrible a soggy a heard someone say put a whole onion in it! From round the corner .!!tuna sarnie more mayo than tuna running out all over the place was put on hot plate so that didn’t help ! crisps were hot ! so we won’t be going back again and wouldn’t recommend which is a shame as it’s local to us all and we were looking for a local on a regular basis .

My sister organised a surprise birthday here last night and was brilliant . Staff very very welcoming and accommodating. Went above and beyond for us . Buffet was lovely and fresh , bouncy castle for the kids . Even reserved tables in the beautiful garden and set up a speaker and microphone for us to play music and sing karaoke. A gem of a pub and glad we’ve found it . Lovely lovely evening and thank you x

A friendly, welcoming atmosphere for people and their dogs. There is a selection of books for those wanting a quiet read and it is comfortably warm (we visited in winter and temperature is a big issue for me - can't stand eating at pubs so cold you have to eat with your coat on). The Sunday roast was tasty traditional fayre with a selection of different roasts. The stuffing was too dry. I can't remember if they had a vegetarian option as we didn't have vegetarians in our party. It would be a good place to visit with kids in warmer months as the beer garden backs onto playing fields.

This is the sunday roast that really taste bad. The chicken is like leftover, burned yorkshire, dry and overcooked potatoes and vegetables with covered load of gravy like soup. All are tasteless and overcooked, Definetly never ever gonna go there again or recomend this place..not with the almost £12 price tag
