Went for a wee and drinks and had to climb over some creep, no idea who staff were and dirty looks from everyone so even if there were staff, they’re disgusting
We went for their monthly open mic night and had a fantastic time!
A traffic accident led us to pulling in here, and to our surprise it’s a great wee pub. Being from down south, couldn’t believe how cheap the prices of the drinks were and the atmosphere was one of familiarity. First stepping through the door, I actually thought I’d stepped into someone’s front living room, and everyone looked to the newcomers stepping in. But it wasn’t like when the music stops and the pub goes quiet, it was just a welcoming acknowledgement to see if more friends had walked through the door as this is clearly a place of regulars. All you could ask of an English pub really.
The pub is really old and could do with a upgrade and redecorated but you can't get a better Sunday roast than here everything is cooked fresh and you get 4 veg besides the roasties and mash these are all in serving dishes and there is ample
The pub has a friendly atmosphere, decor was a little tired, it was a short walk to the river. Could do with better signage from the main road. I would go again.
