The Royal Oak is situated in the delightful village of Barlborough, Derbyshire and is known as "the Pub with Great Food" due to its exciting and varied menus.
We serve traditional real ales as well as lagers, ciders, spirits, fine wines and soft drinks.
Spacious public bar plus lounge and restaurant in the conservatory area. Smartly refurbished in comfortable and modern style. A change in landlord has resulted in beers being mostly from the Enterprise portfolio. Quiz Thursdays.
Booked our wedding over a year in advance then 3 months before he let us go there to confirm food choices and told us he'd double booked us! Tried to offer us the small bar area as a consultation but it wasn't what we wanted. He didn't contact us again to apologise after that day.
Met friends for tea. Pub was like a winter wonderland. Meal was lovely. Great value for money
Came here with relatives from Brighton all the meals were ordered along with drinks, service was quick and efficient. Meals were spot on. Can't complain about the cost either. Other establishments would have been alot dearer. Will be recommending to rest of family.
Just been up to have a meal and didn't realize it was the Monday madness menu we had three courses. Food was lovely and the pub looks brilliant with all the Christmas lights outside and inside., Lovely friendly efficient staff 👍👍👍
Been tonight for the Monday Madness menu and I couldn't fault it. The food was tasty and hot. The service was very quick and efficient. Couldn't fault it and looking forward to going back
