Just as per the photos, great location and amazing service. First time staying here and would certainly recommend/ return. Visited during December 2023 so was quite quiet. Lovely walking destination and the food was fantastic. Value for money. Really lovely, friendly and helpful staff.
I have been here many times, and the food is always good. I was a bit disappointed the last time I visited. I had the festive menu, and everything tasted lovely. The only thing I would say is that the vegetable portions were very small. They always used to be brought out in a separate dish, but this was not the case this time. I will be going back because this is the first time this has happened. I am hoping they will see that people like to feel full after a meal, and vegetables are a cheap way to achieve that.
Always a good place to sit eat and watch the passers-by. A daily meal deal is always good value. The main menu is well thought out too. When we visited the Grill Room was being decorated with traditional festive garlands etc. Our regular place to go to get a quiet and calm hour in a busy village. The staff are wonderful.
My second time staying here and it was just as good as the last when I stayed 3 years ago. The beds and dressing gowns are so comfy, food at the hotel is unreal. Service was great, we had the same waitress as we did 3 years ago as well nice to see she is still there. The location is perfect just over the road is where the trails for walking and mountain biking start. It's just perfect!
I’ve stayed in many hotels and this was by far the best. The staff make the place they are so friendly, inviting and very professional. On arrival we meet Jordon who booked us in. He had a big smile on his face and was just lovely. He went out of his way to accommodate us. The room was lovely nice big bed with stunning views. We ate in both the bar and restaurant and the food was first class. The lady who waited on us Mair couldn’t do enough for us. These two members of staff made are stay extra special. They should receive an award for all their hard work. I said this would be my last visit to Betsy but I’m definitely coming back to this hotel.
