Fab pub, and fab grub, but what really makes it great is the genuinely friendly and welcoming nature of the people who work there and the owner. We felt like locals from the very first visit.
Did not cater for my diet ie coeliac ( wheat allergy) drinks good service good food very poor (was dry, salad looked limp.) No bread available for my pate! Ie what free bread. Bill after a serious discussion was very slightly reduced. Will not eat there again and feel the chips I had were contaminated via the frying process cooked in same oil as other fried foods containing wheat flour as my skin has a rash. Failed in my opinion .
Lovely food, friendly staff and fabulous service. Will definitely be visiting again soon.
We used to go to this pub a lot when we had family in the village. Went back last night for a few drinks before a party and it was so nice! Really cosy n ready for christmas and the service was great and had a really nice time. Loved it and love that it is so welcoming. Cant wait to go back for sunday lunch with our girls! Food looks so good, we just had chips but they were good!
Cracking village pub. Great selection of cask ales and lots of varieties of Gin. Also had the best fish and chips for lunch, superb!
