Great location and great staff providing a proper community as well as welcoming visitors. We really enjoyed our dinner and drinks.

Had excellent Christmas dinner with great service. The Royal deserves to be busy but was empty when I was there. Don't know why there were no other customers as is hard to fault anything.

My husband and I had dinner there this evening, 27th October. Our waitress (Catherine) was brilliant and very informed about food allergies. The dinner itself was tasty and portions very generous. The place, table settings, etc. were immaculate. The dining room had a cosy fire. Highly recommend.

Great dinner. While I will admit this was not our first choice for dinner we stopped in Cromarty on a busy night. The Royal Hotel was the only place in town that made room for us and we were not disappointed. The view was excellent. The service was great considering how hot is was and how busy they were. We had the fish soup-excellent; The mussels-delicious; and the crab pasta-refreshing. Thanks for a great and memorable meal.

My family had a fantastic experience at the Royal Hotel. Jenny, Alick & Ellie (the cutest little dog) greeting us personally during dinner and breakfast. Not many hoteliers will do that! The rooms are spacious and quite comfortable. The food is great as well. We will certainly try to be back soon!
