Great traditional pub, new barmaid is lovely
Glad ..finally back to some normality ..nice to see the old faces once more.🍻👍 Unfortunately a few old regulars no longer with us...😥...was in yesterday...back for the 🏉 on Saturday for a few 🍺
Gd pub well decorated with nice touches was quite on Saturday afternoon friendly bar staff toilets spotless couldn't fault it
If you want to try a genuine old style Scottish bar, this is a good choice in the regenerated, historic West End of Hawick next to the old kirk and Drumlanrig tower. Female people like me are in the minority (except behind the bar) but made to feel welcome, as is Zorro, the cocker spaniel. H says the beer is good. The wine come in those wee bottles so the choice is red or white but perhaps that's better than the dubious stuff that gets served up in many English pubs these days. Gin and tonic probably a better option though. No food obv.
