The hotel is well situated and in a nice location right on Loch Lomond. While the outside the hotel could be considered charming the interior of the hotel could use a refresh. The rooms are clean, but were quite dark and felt very dated.
Room was clean and comfortable. Food was alright but there clearly was not enough staff and those present were struggling to keep up. Breakfast was disappointing
We were hiking the WHW and due to extreme rainfall and flooding we were stuck for 2 days in the hotel. The receptionist was giving us and all the other stuck hikers really outstanding support on how we can progress our hiking tour and how to find our way back to the trail. The second (unplanned) overnight stay was somehow rebooked with our organizer, so there was no extra payment required. I have never had such a kind of perfect service before, if I could give more than 5 stars I would not hesitate. The rooms were comfortable and clean, there was nothing to complain.
We didn't stay in the hotel, but tried to get a room at the last minute (they were full). Reception was extremely friendly and helpful in finding somewhere else to stay in Rowardennan. The hotel also found us a table at the last minute. The food came out extremely quickly and was very hot. Amazing to sit down with a pint and a hot meal after 10 hours of hiking. Loved this place!!
This is a really nice hotel kind of isolated but really nice and on Loch Lomond. I happened to get the lodge and it was incredible. Had everything you would want or need. 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, big kitchen, big screen TV, good Wi-Fi, very friendly and helpful staff. Also, a great place if you walking the west highland way. Definitely recommend but you have to book early.
